Nestled at the foot of Knocknarea in the heart of Ransboro, Wild Atlantic Food Café is settled nicely between Strandhill and Sligo as well as being a stone’s throw from the famous Carrowmore Tombs. Thanks to its fabulous surroundings, our little café is a world away from the hustle and bustle of the town.
We believe when we treat each other well everybody has a good time and that philosophy runs through everything we do at our cafe.
We pride ourselves on using fresh, local ingredients and catering for a wide range of dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options so we offer our diners an experience rather than ‘grabbing a quick bite on the go’.
Wild Atlantic Food Café is open for breakfast, brunch and lunch, plus daily specials. The food is rustic with a modern twist, made from quality ingredients using mostly locally sourced produce. And our stuffed French toast, whether sweet or savoury is always a treat.
On Saturdays we have our “Farmers Market” menu with dishes created based on fresh produce available at the market on the day.
Our unique café is family owned and operated by Elena Gheghici, who learned the art of culinary design in Romania and mastered her skills working with Sicilians on the island of Malta. She believes in buying local, thinking seasonal and eating well, not fast.
Prepare for a full menu of moderately priced healthy and tasty food influenced by Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and French cuisine as well as Irish cooking traditions, based upon time honoured recipes from around the world.
If you haven’t been before, it’s like dining at a friend’s, so we are looking forward to welcoming you into our home.
