The golf course encompasses 6,400 yards (5,800m) of undulating fairways & unforgiving shortcuts, offering an unforgettable experience for all who play it.
Strandhill Golf Club was founded in 1931 as a nine-hole golf course and the present 18-hole course was opened in 1973. A new chapter has been embarked upon with the development of a new clubhouse in 2006, the year in which the club celebrated its 75th anniversary.
The par 70 links course is challenging but rewarding. It also had some superb scenery to admire while playing it – as Knocknarea Mountain, Culleenamore Strand and Strandhill Beach all act as back-drops during an 18 hole round.
