The Go Strandhill official launch took place on Friday 13th July in Shells Cafe on the Strandhill beachfront. The team had been working hard on both the new website and the promotional video for a number of months and were both excited and nervous to showcase the products.
Shells Cafe had offered to host the night and they sure know how to throw a party! By 7.30pm Dave and Allan had set up the projector and pull-down screen provided kindly by Garth in Compupac and were ready for the night. Local surfers and the business community began to fliter through the doors and were soon enjoying the amazing spread of food put on by Myles and all in the Shells kitchen.
Stuffed tomatoes, dips, chips, and tapas like you’ve never seen before were in abundance and to the ladies’ delight, strawberries dipped in chocolate. Once everybody was settled, Allan and Dave took to the stage, thanking all for coming and finally getting to display their hard-earned work to all present. It has to be said that people were blown away by the video and much credit has to go out to Dave and Dani from Direct Video Tours for all their hard work, determination and patience.
Photographer on the night was local surfer Andrew Kilfeather. He could be seen weaving his way though the crowd, sneaking some great shots of people enjoying the food and laughing amongst themselves. Andy is now covering weddings so check out his website.
The crowd watched the clock tick down and at 8.30pm Dave pressed the button for the Go Strandhill website to go live. Designed to be visually appealing and user friendly, the site itself is a work in progress and the team at Go Strandhill are open to suggestions for site content. If you would like to list on the site as a business in the area please do not hesitate to contact us.
The biggest thank you of the night must go out to Jane and Myles in Shells Cafe for their support, advice and for hosting a fantastic night. We could not recommend them enough for private functions or parties.
