The Draft House in Strandhill has won the Best Gastro Pub in Sligo at the Connaught Restaurant Association Awards. The event was held in the Radisson Blu Hotel and Spa in Rosses Point last night where hundreds gathered from across the province to celebrate the best in the restaurant business in the West of Ireland.
“We are honoured to have been given this award. We work hard to deliver high quality food and service to each and every one of our customers as well as keeping things original, so we are truly delighted to have this recognised at last night’s event.” said The Draft House Manager Nicholas Ryan.
The gastro pub located beside the sea in Strandhill is known for its fresh produce, creative menus and quirky interior. They recently launched a brand-new menu and owner of the eatery, Daniel McGarrigle says it’s great to see such a positive response to their different approach.
“As our tagline goes, we don’t do ordinary. There is always a risk with that but we are passionate about what we do and myself, The Draft House Manager Nick and Head Chef Lee all came together for that reason, to bring people something different. This is a great achievement so early in the life of The Draft House. It’s something we hope to build on in the future as we continue to work hard to bring our customers the best in food, location, service and experience.”
It’s a double win for the The Draft House this week as the gastro pub has also been included in the Hot Press best of 100 restaurants in the Ireland.
