Sligo LEADER Partnership in conjunction with the Strandhill Business community are rolling out a Community Tourism Initiative in the Strandhill.
They have started a bus tour which runs from the promenade in Strandhill at 2pm every Saturday and Sunday for the summer and features visits to various points of interest including Dolly’s Cottage, Breeogue Pottery and Sligo Golf Academy and Activity Farm. It also includes a fully guided tour of Carrowmore Megalithic Tombs – one of the most significant archaeological sites in Western Europe.
Tickets for the bus are priced at €10 for an adult, €5 for a child or €24 for a family (which will cover 2 adults and 2 children). Hotel pickups are available but must be pre-booked in advance by ringing 087 2781053 or 087 2431942.
