Top 10 reasons to visit Strandhill Christmas Markets this year

Go Strandhill - Xmas Market

If you’re yet to start your Christmas shopping and as usual find yourself scratching your head in search of presents, look no further than the Strandhill People’s Market.

Boasting over 40 stalls each Friday night from 6pm-10pm and a massive 75 stalls every Sunday from 11-4pm, SPM is now one of the most impressive markets in Ireland. The weekly event has already attracted thousands of punters to the village and this weekend is your last chance to catch the markets before they close for Christmas and January.

The market is the perfect place to meet a friend for a coffee, listen to live local music, sip on a mulled wine and shop till you drop! The best part is, by visiting you will be supporting local traders helping to create employment and boost the local economy at this important time of the year.

While in the village why not plan a trip to Shells Café, the Venue Restaurant, get your hair done in Locks & Lace, take a dip in Voya Seaweed Baths or even pack a bag and spend a few days in the village. Strandhill Lodge and Suites have a special rate for anybody travelling to the market at €40 pp sharing. Just give them a call and let them know that you’re heading west to visit the market
